Hello everyone! I am excited I get to continue my long journey with Jojo with you all, especially as the anime seems to be more than half over already. As always, the episode I watched was a thirty minute TV spot that (accounting for commercials) is actually about 24 minutes of content. I watched episode 27, which was the finale of an ongoing battle in the series. Since I last recapped, Giorno's gang was able to successfully land on the boss' home island of Sardinia (after a battle where Trish awakened her very own stand), in order to find clues about his identity. Little do they know, but their boss is already there and has them in his sights. "Bizarrely" the mafia boss actually has multiple personality disorder, one that is the stern and scary figure the gang is searching for, and other more meek personality: Doppio. Doppio is on his way to deal with Giorno's gang when he is stopped by the last member of the assassin squad Giorno's gang was fighting at the beginning of the story. This member, Risotto Nero, was the leader of the assassination team, and accidentally stumbled across Doppio while searching for the boss. His stand, Metallica, is able to manipulate iron through magnetism, and he uses it to make Doppio's blood-iron into dangerous weapons. However, using both his King Crimson and Narancia's stand (who didn't know he was targeting Risotto), Doppio is able to defeat Risotto by the episode's end. As always, Jojo is entertaining, creative, and exciting in its fight scenes. I can't wait to see this part's end and how the final battle between Doppio and Giorno will play out!
