マクミランさんは僕のヒーローアカデミアを見る

This week I am still continuing to watch the latest season of Boku no Hero Academia. This week saw the conclusion to the current arc, with Deku defeating Chisaki and saving Eri from him. This arc was very exciting, and I was glad to see it finally animated after reading the weekly manga. I thought the studio did a really good job in making the fights interesting. In this episode, the heroes who were injured fighting the yakuza were saved, and ended up recovering in the hospital. While Eri was saved and the yakuza defeated, not everything ended happily. Mirio still cannot recover his quirk, and the drug that affected him ended up being stolen from the police by the League of Villains! Most importantly, is that Sir Nighteye, who had mentored Mirio and Deku, died from his wounds at the end of the episode. It was a very sad scene and was animated in a tear-jerking way! Ultimately, I am very impressed with the season so far.

I have been trying lately to test how much of a typically native speed conversation I can understand. To do so, I close my eyes for some exchanges of dialogue, then rewind the video to read the subtitles in order to see how close I was. While I'm far from perfect, I was surprised that I can understand the general topics from a lot of conversations. I think listening to anime like this one has helped me to better understand the various nuances of casual speech.
